Why should the pool be sized correctly when using IONSX?
Each IONSX unit is designed for a specific water volume. Using the correct size ensures proper mineral levels and the best performance.
Does using more IONSX improve results, or can it cause an overdose?
More is not better. Overdosing can lead to imbalanced water. Always follow the dosage instructions for your pool size.
Why do I need to run the pump right after installing IONSX?
Running the pump circulates the minerals evenly through the water, ensuring IONSX starts working immediately.
What kinds of chlorine are recommended for use with IONSX?
IONSX works with all types of chlorine. The key is to maintain the chlorine level within the recommended range for best results.
What is the ideal chlorine level when IONSX is in use?
For residential pools, chlorine should be maintained at 0.5–1.0 ppm. In commercial pools, levels may be kept up to 5 ppm depending on regulations and usage.
Do I need to adjust pH or alkalinity differently with IONSX?
No special adjustments are required. Keep pH between 7.2–7.6 and alkalinity between 80–120 ppm as usual.
Can IONSX reduce the amount of other chemicals needed in my pool?
Yes. With IONSX, only pH control and chlorine are required. Both can be reduced by approximately 50–75% compared to standard pool maintenance.
Can IONSX be used together with saltwater systems?
Yes. IONSX is fully compatible not only with saltwater systems but also with UV and ozone pool systems, enhancing overall water treatment efficiency.
How does IONSX work alongside automatic chlorinators?
IONSX complements automatic chlorinators by lowering the chlorine output needed to keep the pool clean.
How long does IONSX remain effective in the pool?
IONSX is effective for up to 6 months under normal conditions. After that, it should be replaced.
Does IONSX affect water clarity or filtration?
Yes. IONSX helps improve clarity and reduces contaminants, allowing the filter to work more efficiently.
